i know i said i was done with my vacation recap.. but i just had to share these little magical gems. on the pathway to the paradise pier section of disneyland california adventure, there was this amazing bed of some of the brightest and prettiest flowers i've ever seen.
we stopped a took a little breather so i could experiment with my new camera.. at this point i still hadn't read the manual.. okay who are we kidding, i still haven't read the manual. but i think some of my shots came out pretty great! i picked some of the prettiest flowers to take closeups of.
now, here's where it gets interesting.. as i'm walking around this bed of flowers taking pictures, i noticed a cluster of yellow flowers arranged in a striking resemblance of a mickey head. i flipped out a little {it doesn't take much} and started snapping away.
so, of course it makes me wonder if this is something that disney did on purpose, or do the flowers grow like this on their own? or did disney pick these flowers because they knew that they grew like this? as i looked around, i found another.. this time in deep magenta.
so whatever the reason behind the little hidden mickey flowers, i just wanted to share that little bit of magic with y'all. hope you're having a happy thursday! :)
Disney does this thing where they hide Mickey's. They hide all the characters, so I hear. Whenever I go to Disney here in Orlando (which is like, once every thirteen years. Unless it's this year, in which case it was twice in two months), whichever friend I'm with is always pointing out the "Hidden Mickey." They're EVERYWHERE. Seriously. Everywhere. That's why I put it in all-caps. (;

yep! i worked at disney in 2008, so i know all about the hidden mickeys.. there truly are TONS of them! i know that they're typically on purpose, which was why i was wondering if these were done that way, or if they were just a little magical coincidence.. i guess i'll just be wondering! ;)
