these are a few little tidbits you may not think about as necessarily "being kind to animals" in the most obvious way, but they can do wonders in the long run.
{1} spay or neuter your pet. i don't have to tell you that there is an overpopulation epidemic.. and this is especially important if you let your pet wander around your neighborhood.
{2} this is a tough one, because it's often too easy to look the other way when you see something going on.. report animal cruelty. that dog that you see in your neighbor's yard tied to a tree in the hot sun with no bowl of water in sight, day in and day out? that's not okay.
{3} take your fur-baby to have a thorough dental cleaning. this will help prevent major dental health issues and can also cut down on that stinky breath! if you do this at home, choose a brush with super soft bristles, and get special dog/cat toothpaste. human toothpaste can be harmful to animals' stomachs.
